Fred to eat whatever Keith serves him.

Fred to eat whatever Keith serves him.

This week’s episode of Best In Show featured a cooking competition with a new twist: The person who prepares the best meal wins the opportunity to cook for the co-host who serves up the worst.  Due to the nature of a radio show that has forced losers of trivia contests to drink coffee brewed with raw fish, it can be said that the grand prize is not simply the joy of cooking, but rather, the joy of watching a friend eat a horrid meal out of obligation.

The contest ended with Keith taking top billing with his roasted potatos and beans, inching out Brian’s lentil based soup and Chris’s savory apple cobbler.   Since Rob Gigs did not participate (citing his distaste for women’s work), that leaves Fred and his pasta with peas solidly in last place.

Will Keith show mercy?  Will Fred vomit?  Will Keith prepare the visually exciting wonder that is vegan sausage?  Tune into next week’s episode of Best In Show to find out exactly what happens when a meal stops being nice and starts being real (nauseating).

Who will win: Germfreak or Keith?

Who will win: Germfreak or Keith?

Since being crowned HearUsTalk Champion of Facebook’s popular application, Scramble, Germfreak (co-host of The DJNewStyle Show) has launched a direct assault of insults and belittling remarks towards Keith from Best in Show Radio. Frank was convinced that Keith’s high score of 215 was impossible and leveled several accusations of cheating toward him.

The assault was short-lived.  Keith shot back at Frank, words were exchanged, the Chicago Bulls Theme was played, and a resolution was proposed: a rematch.  Keith, acting on the embarrassment from his loss to Frank’s score of 24 points at the Labor Day event, promised to double Frank’s score and brazenly declared that he would get a Scramble related tattoo if he were to fail.  Germfreak agreed and stated that if he were to lose, he would forever refer to his opponent as Scramble Champion Keith.

On tonight’s episode of Best In Show it was confirmed that in three weeks, October 8th, Germfreak will make the trip to Best in Show studios in Staten Island, NY to defend his title.

Who wins?  Will Keith silence the rumors of cheating?  Stay tuned as the battle burns on!

Twitter's average user age has increased slightly

Twitter's average user age has increased slightly

Sometime last night, an older man embraced a new technology.  He may have heard about it from his favorite television program, or perhaps from his children, but despite the fact that he’s discovered it about a year after my mother, Germfreak has joined twitter.

All he needs to do now is discover what he wants to do with it.   The first 24 hours were rough for Germfreak, as his twitter yielded zero tweets.  However, after an afternoon of avoiding the first week of professional football, his activity has exploded – seeing upwards of three tweets.

The future isn’t certain for Germfreak’s twitter, but one thing is: I will undoubtedly field hundreds of questions related to settings, posting messages, reading messages, and locating the twitters of Jerry Seinfeld and Bon Jovi.

Stay tuned!

Second Annual Labor Day Event

by DJNewStyle on September 11, 2009

Alcohol.

This year’s Labor Day event, held at Sweet & Viscious in New York City, was awesome.  It was great to see so many people come out to hang and see our live shows.  There will be more events in the future!

If you missed it, you can view photos in an album on our Facebook page.
